Pitch recognition via microphone.

Great app. What would make it totally amazing would be combing it with some pitch detecting/ tuner-type code that uses the mic. i.e. The note flashes on the screen, I play it on my guitar/violin/piano etc the app detects the note via the mic.

I've found that I can get quite fast touching the image of the violin fret board but that the speed is not there holding an actual violin. The learned response is different.

It inbuilt tuner would only work with 1 note at a time but most people learning only use 1 note at a time. There may be latency issues, I dunno my app tuners appear to respond quite fast. Certainly fast enough for the early stages of learning sight reading.

Acoustic pitch recognition

Acoustic pitch recognition is something I've been working on. I'm hoping to have a version out sometime in Q1 of next year with this support. The fretless instruments (violin, etc.) provide an additional challenge in that rarely do beginners play the exact pitch so determining correct vs incorrect has some added complexities.

If you (or anyone) would like to be a beta tester of this feature please send me an email at support@glpsoftware.com, and I'll get you on the list.

Stay tuned and hopefully I can develop an even more useful tool to help individuals improve their music reading skills.
