We've been busy developing our latest version of iReadMusic and have tried to include many of your feature requests. We hope you'll find our new version 1.1 (submitted to Apple 5/20/2009) even more useful. Some of the key new features include:
- A timed mode (aka a speed trainer mode) where the user must respond at a configurable tempo.
- A optional metronome in timed mode
- A learning mode where the answers are given at the correct tempo.
- TAB notation support - learn how to read TAB and improve you TAB reading speed and accuracy
- 7 new instruments:
- 5 & 6 string bass guitars
- Mandolin
- Banjo
- Cello
- Viola
- Violin
- Posting and viewing high scores online for each mode
- Storing the user's top 10 scores for each mode
- A setting to disable the high score alert
- We have changed how the instrument sound files are installed and hope this is a little less painful then the 90 second wait when the app was first installed on version 1.0.1
We appreciate all you beta testers helping test these new features (hopefully we haven't missed to many glaring bugs). A special thanks to Brad in Florida for setting us straight on the Mandolin and providing us with the missing sound samples.
